Seven years on from the start of the Rohingya genocide, the US has an opportunity to reflect on its past policies and take bold steps toward a more just and lasting solution. Rohingya cannot afford another seven years of inaction. Prof Azeem Ibrahim OBE www-arabnews-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.arabne…

Perhaps the IOC MEDIA might seize this to establish an international fund and initiative to protect female athletes and generally address the epidemic of domestic violence!? It would be a tremendous legacy and allow her death not merely to be an awful footnote on Paris 2024!🙏

On this day in 2007, the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) was adopted by the UN General Assembly, but Canada was not on board - yet. Canada was one of only four states that voted against it. 🧵bit.ly/3za3ubk

General notice: Seems someone has created a parallel X account for me as "JohnPacker79730". It's not me (and seems to have some wild stuff on it). Please block it; I cannot delete it (since it's not mine!).

So sad! Yet, a wonderful life well and fully lived with undoubted and visible integrity throughout. She inspired so many in varied ways, above all by her clear example. Always part of the solution and not the problem. Walking her talk with every step. RIP Sen. Wilson.🙏

The SAC has just issued an order requiring university and college students to change their current passports to a *Passport to Education*. This move will have a huge impact on those who are already abroad and studying. Why is the whole world just watching without doing anything?
