This week, I went over everything from Red Zone woes to Cover 3 beaters (like this example👇) to the way the OSU offense cleaned up the run game in the second half against the Bobcats. If you haven't checked out Film Study yet this season, this is a good one to get started:

On July 8, they trailed the Tigers by 15.5 games. On Sept. 4, they trailed the Tigers by 11 games. Now, with the tiebreaker clinched, the Cleveland Guardians sit atop the AL Central.

The data backs up a few trends we’ve seen on tape so far this season: - OSU is facing more zone coverage, mostly Cover 3 (MOFC) - Far fewer shots downfield as a result - Using 2-TE sets more than normal - More Gap run schemes (ex: Power, Counter)

2 is the best player in college football. The two motions make him responsible for the A gap in the run fit. He picks it up, comes down, and makes the play at 2 yd. An elite S is like an elite TE. Undervalued because you don't *need* elite, but as impactful as anything

That much usage is all game planning. Doesn’t matter who is physically calling the plays into the headset - that decision was made during the week to go this route in the RZ.
