Kennedy Woods is a 45-acre forest southeast of the sanctuary with 6 km of paths. Here, you will see many unique species of plants & local wildlife. When you arrive, look at the trail map located at the trail parking lot to see where to go & where to find the forest's highlights!

In 1880, the Jack Miner museum was built as a horse stable, which turned into an observatory and then the museum. Today, the museum houses Jack and his wife Laona's belongings. Throughout the whole summer, the museum is open 10:00-3:00 and looks better than ever!

Post 1/2 It is a little-known fact, but Manly, the oldest son of Jack and Laona, was a very big part of the success of the Sanctuary. Due to Jack being illiterate until he was 38, all of the clerical work for both the brick and tile factory and the Sanctuary were done by Manly.
