Our first inductee is Meredith Felts Rowland of JMU Softball! Meredith helped put the Dukes on the map and led the team to their first CAA Championship in 2009. She is softball’s first ever JMU Hall of Fame member! Congrats, Meredith! #GoDukes
Betty Jaynes helped build JMU Women's Basketball into the program we all love today. She was at the helm for 12 seasons & helped take the Dukes to their first 20-win campaign in 1978-79. Betty helped form the WBCA and was the director for 15 years before becoming the CEO. #GoDukes
Annie Lowry Young was a JMU Women's Soccer standout on the field and in the classroom. She earned Second Team All-America honors from NSCAA her senior year and is a two-time JMU Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Congrats, Annie! #GoDukes
Julie Martinez Bowles is the only two-sport All-American in JMU history competing for both JMU Field Hockey and JMU Lacrosse. She ranks top-five in career goals for both programs. Congrats, Julie! #GoDukes
Greg was a four-year starter for JMU Baseball making 212 starts on the Diamond. He was a two-time All-Region selection and a two-time first Team All-CAA and First Team All-State honoree. Congrats, Greg on your induction! #GoDukes
The 2004 JMU Football team was a special one, bringing home the first National Championship for the program! They went 9-2 in the regular season, sharing the A-10 crown before going on the road for the playoffs and defeated No. 2 Montana in Chattanooga for the title. #GoDukes
Mickey Matthews owns the most coaching victories (109) in JMU Football history after being at the helm for 15 seasons. He led JMU to its first National Championship & had six playoff appearances and had a memorable JMU victory over Virginia Tech in 2010. #GoDukes
