Delighted to have participated in the Meeting Rimini 2024, to discuss the pressing challenges of rising inequalities in the EU, explore economic policies and how we can work towards a more equitable future for all.
Great to be back at the European Alpbach Forum EuropeanForumAlpbach this year, under the title "Moment of Truth." It was inspiring to engage with remarkable leaders and passionate young minds on the future of Europe amidst today's global challenges.
Had a very good meeting with Uganda's Prime Minister NABBANJA ROBINAH, where I commended the country's remarkable efforts in child immunization. We also discussed plans for @Gavi to support Government of Uganda in launching malaria vaccine in routine immunization in 2025.
Thrilled to arrive in Dili to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the referendum for Timor Leste's Independence. What an incredible surprise (and honor!) to have President José Ramos-Horta personally drive me to the hotel in his old jeep! José Ramos-Horta
Delighted to be interviewed by the President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta on his current Horta Show. We also discussed multilateralism and @Gavi's crucial role in global immunization.
Very substantive meeting with my friend UN SG António Guterres in Dili today. We discussed the overall international situation and also the progress in global immunization. Grateful for the very strong support of the SG to @Gavi.
"Increasingly, investing in immunisation is seen as a centrepiece of broader policies on health security at both national and regional levels" - timely read by Dr Dr Sania Nishtar on the power of regional collaboration to “turbocharge” immunisation progress: bit.ly/3MdZvju
Thank you Prime Minister Lawrence Wong for your partnership and commitment to @Gavi’s mission to leave no-one behind with immunisation. With Singapore’s continued support, we will protect more people, against more diseases, faster than ever before. #forourfuture
Many thanks leehsienloong for the interesting discussion about pandemic preparedness and for your continued support for @Gavi’s role in pandemic prevention, preparedness and response. Investments in Gavi help make the world a safer place for all:
.UNICEF’s decision to issue an emergency tender to help secure #mpox vaccines in collaboration with Africa CDC, Gavi, World Health Organization (WHO), PAHO/WHO and other partners is a vital step in the response to the ongoing outbreak. Our joint statement details why: bit.ly/3Xtfr7Q
