FAA says two people were on board a Learjet 55 when it crashed after departing around 6:30PM from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri. The crashed happened near Cottman and Rosevelt Blvd.

I went to the @PhillyZoo today, where 4 critically endangered Western Santa Cruz Galapagos Tortoises have recently hatched. Their mother named “Mommy” is around 100 years old. She is now the world’s oldest first-time mother of her species. Hatchlings go on exhibit April 24th.

#RIP #JaneGoodall I interviewed the conservationist and animal welfare advocate when she visited a school in the Philly burbs back in Sept. 2015. Goodall died of natural causes while on a speaking tour in California. She was 91.

I interviewed #JaneGoodall in 2015 in Rosemont PA. She told me that her research proved early science wrong, and that animals like chimpanzees do in fact have personalities and capable of reasoning. She said she learned that was possible from her childhood dog Rusty. #RIP
