The first day of our "Archives in/of Transit" In Global Transit ended with a reception at the Thomas Mann House Thomas Mann House - it was a great pleasure to be at this historic site representing both intellectual history and forced migration. Many thanks for inviting us!
To end the first day of Archives in/of Transit we visited the Thomas Mann House and heard about the circle of Jewish German exiles in LA in the 1930s/40s and the recent process of re-assembling the House
