Nice work here showing yet again how there are many ways to get our bodies to positively adapt to loading! Eccentrics are NOT the only option for tendons!

I just Failed my 9yr old son’s soccer conditioning test. Am I tripping/out of shape or is this insane? I need a soccer or track athlete to talk to me.

Athletes with low training age will experience some pretty significant improvements in athleticism by simply getting stronger with basic multi-joint movements - don't screw things up because you are bored as a coach, misinformed, or are looking for social media followers.

A lot of Sport Science jobs now seem to want 'unicorn' skillsets... e.g., S&C Coach + Data Engineer + Data Analyst Makes sense for employers - pay 1 person, get the skills of many. But for practitioners - what's the trade-off, or opportunity cost, of chasing all these skills?

It's one thing to make a commonwealth team, but to do it as the first female in her sport for her country AND completing a Master's degree... They really broke the mold when they made @emmakeane10

1/15 When I defended my PhD in November, I was given an assignment by the committee called "Why football coaches need to fall out of love with Rondos in practice". I looked at specificity, transfer of learning, scanning and creativity. I will now present some of the findings.
