Poking around on LIS department web pages, I'm really glad to see that senior profs often teach the intro/foundations course. That's good news for the students and the profession.

Feeling like “scholarly author” leaves out a lot and invites confusion about audience, so I’m going to start using “university-based author” more often. (For that matter, “scholarly publishing” is probably due for clarification and maybe a rebrand?)

It was also a thrill at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC to see on display a 1969 first edition of Vine Deloria, Jr.s "Custer Died for Your Sins: An Indian Manifesto," which OU Press has the honor of keeping in print today.
