This news is only terrible if someone sells their Gap stock. Sacramento A’s owner John Fisher isn’t selling, especially to build an imaginary ballpark. (Plus, he’d owe $200 million to the IRS.) Promising funding isn’t funding, just as moving dirt around isn’t construction.
