That’s it - my last day in the Army after 34 years of service (and 43 in uniform - from Cadet to Colonel). Thank you to everyone who made it such an amazing experience. So many memories and people to thank - but above all my wife and family. It’s been an honour and privilege.

10 years ago I was at the service of national reconciliation at St Giles: Both Alex Salmond & Nicola Sturgeon declined to attend. In the decade since, the Scottish Govt. squandered its energies on proving our difference rather than improving our nation. What a terrible waste.
