So honoured to present for the 7th time at NYU Steinhardt Screen Scoring’s Music and the Moving Image conference, as well as chairing various panels feat. truly inspirational colleagues. Having attended MaMI annually since 2019, it never ceases to wholly enliven me and remind me why I do what I do
My MaMI paper, “Music and Sound in Aleatoric Filmmaking: The Case of 𝘌𝘯𝘰 (2024),” was a new strand of my research on the intersection of new media technologies and popular music culture, arising from my recent Research Ireland-funded postdoc Research Fellow role at Film Department, Trinity College Dublin.
An incredibly well-deserved (and entirely expected) Best Actress win for Sarah Snook at The Tony Awards So delighted I caught The Picture of Dorian Gray during my time in NYC for Music and the Moving Image, especially w/ my decades-long love of the novella and having missed the West End run
Thrilled to be invited to contribute to this exciting online symposium being organised by the AMS Music & Media Study Group (Zoom, 7 Aug, 1-3pm ET) My paper is on “Democratising Screen Music Studies through Videographic Criticism.” Come one, come all! musicandmedia.ams-net.org/home/online-sy…
