Got up to the trail and everything was closed... we checked the website before venturing out and it all said it was open.

After finding "everything closed" we goofed around a around a few that weren't gated. They were still closed... by Mother Nature. Few more weeks for all the snow to melt. We were only about 6000FT but there was still white stuff around.

Ended up for a picnic at Pinecrest Lake. Not a total loss but not what we had planned. Still a beautiful day in the mountains and the kids had fun splashing in that freezing water. Live to fight another day.

Digging through old boxes and found pictures of my first car. 1966 Dodge Coronet 440. Powered by a 70s 318 block with 360 heads, 4 barrel, and dual glass packs. Progress from day 1 hubcaps, to Cneterlines, and finally the torsion bar lowered stance. Good memories.

Start to finish for a few hours this afternoon. Stripped everything we could off to yank it out. Torque converter bolts and bell housing bolts and she's free.

Managed to pop an O ring on the hoist while working on the 46 today. Gonna go old school and work on the pit. Not tall enough to stand up, too tall to work on your knees, and you know someone's forehead is gonna bleed.

Soooo.... we figured out where the weak spot in the ram was. Good news, the hammer drawer is know well lubricated and I'll be damned if any of them will ever rust. Bit surprised when it ejaculated across the shop....

Found the back up hoist. She's out. Apparently it ripped both motor mounts to pieces as well. Now I need a pallet and it goes back to the builder for their inspection.

Some people have it together and know what they're doing, but some who venture up there are complete ass clowns. We may not be able to reach you if you have an emergency up there, so be prepared to abandon your vehicle, be stranded, or be seriously injured and inconvenienced.”

New shoes for the Wrangler. Gonna swap out the Walker Evans bead locks and 35 12.50s for some white steelies and 35 10.50s. Keeping the beadlocks but switching up the look for a bit. Did some trading for Jeep parts I wasn't using. Anyone run Kanati Mud Hogs? Reviews look good.

Swapped out the tires and wheels today. Still a 35 but 10.50s with an M/T. Gonna see how I like these for awhile. I kinda dig the backdated look.
