The very hard working Mothin Ali is getting lots of racist attacks online. All abuse will be reported, to the Police if violent. Good luck to you, Mothin!!

Zack Polanski calls on Nigel Farage to resign as Reform leader. He's paid for media appearances through a private company, meaning he pays corporation tax on this income, not income tax. It follows Rayner's resignation.. #FollowBackFriday I follow back..

Today Sat 6 September, another day of protest about Govt's repressive laws, yet its lack of courage in not imposing sanctions on Israel. #GazaGenocide‌

A vicar is amongst the final people arrested after several hundreds were detained under the Terrorism Act for holding signs. When civil society is prepared to face 'terror' arrests, it couldn't be clearer that the Palestine Action ban is a mistake of poll tax proportions.

I tabled a Motion of Regret when the legislation proscribing #PalestineAction reached the Lords. We couldn't stop it happening but we could raise the problems and force a vote. Only 14 Peers voted for the motion, even though others in the House did admit there could be problems.

There seem to be nine police officers here arresting an entirely peaceful vicar for holding a sign. Does anyone seriously think this is a sensible law or a sensible use of police resources?

Should we have diplomatic ties with the US? Yes. Should we roll out the red carpet for a racist, misogynist? No. Should we show up in huge numbers to say he represents everything we oppose? Absolutely. See you there.

A lot of people on here and on media have been missing the point about the Farage story about the property he claimed to have bought in Clacton. If you buy a second home there is a 5% surcharge on top of the standard rate of stamp duty. Farage claimed that he had bought 🧵

The Labour government made a big fuss around banning the Israeli delegation from the DSEI arms fair. Despite that, they've allowed 51 Israeli arms companies to exhibit their weapons Spectators are banned, but the weapons manufacturers are allowed... More rank hypocrisy!

Zack Polanski, "Let's subsidise good behaviour, rather than subsidising fossil fuel companies, oil and gas" "There's no coincidence that this Labour government took £4.1 million from a hedge fund that have assets in oil and gas, arms and gambling" "I think that's why Keir

The Terrorism Act was introduced in 2000. Imagine it was suggested then that its biggest use by far in any year would be against peaceful members of the public holding placards opposing genocide. That person would be accused of deranged scaremongering. And yet here we are.

The proscription of Palestine Action is a shameful and expensive mistake which both threatens the right to free speech and political protest & takes attention away from the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Parliament must revisit the decision immediately.

The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it. Some said it would hardly be used. Now there’s a decent case for widening it further.
