Nice work by Matt Matt Waas and rest of the team to put this protocol together Protocol for generating high-fidelity proteomic profiles using DROPPS sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Seems like a good time for a list some of my favorite truly #OpenSource #proteomics tools. In no particular order: 1. Comet - The Sequest algorithm for everyone. github.com/uwpr/comet

The signs of ageing are when you have to search in Google AI for "List of proteomics data repositories like PRIDE", because there was no way on earth you could recall the name MassIVE to search for a protein detection precedence.. 😤😤🤓

Apparently, a 1000 spectra per second de novo peptide sequencing tool, novor.cloud, enabled those diverse antibody sequence mapping generated from those plethora of protease digestions...

2024 update from Human Plasma Proteome Project..#HPPP Always have a soft spot for HPPP updates as it was my PhD prelim writing assignment.. The first draft map was just published as a special issue in the journal Proteomics just in time to compile that assignment.. 🤓

Spectra for 1536 single cells acquired over 40 SPD Slice-PASEF workflow.. ~40 days of acquisition! Btw Bruker provides a spectra library? 'Analyses were performed using a library-based approach (spectral library provided by BRUKER containing 67686 proteins and 13827 genes)' 🤔

This is mind boggling!! The analogies it is drawing to explain the basic concepts of proteomics are exemplary.. May be this is the solution to those communication challenges came up in latest episode of #TheProteomicsShow.. Generative AI is awesome..
