Last week, I took the SCARIEST ride of my life. It was NOT an adventure sport. I wanted to visit a village in #Uttarakhand for reporting, to see the 'development' in the Devbhoomi—which PM Modi recently portrayed as one of his government's biggest “success” stories.

#Uttarakhand | The bridge used by those in #Chamoli 's Juagwad to cross the river was washed away in the 2021 flood. Since then, villagers risk their lives every day on a rickety trolley that precariously dangles them across the river.

PM #Modi 's 'unprecedented development' in #Uttarakhand : claims vs reality.

PM Modi launched the Uttarakhand state campaign for the upcoming #LokSabhaElections2024 during his recent Rudrapur address. He presented Uttarakhand as a success story of his government, & highlighted the “unprecedented development” witnessed in the state over the past decade.

It was indeed the scariest ride I have ever taken, and this entire village is being forced to take this risky and unsafe mode of transportation on a daily basis. A visual representation:
