IFCP took in a very pregnant cat at Easter so she wouldn't deliver outside. She had a difficult delivery and needed an emergency C-section. Mom and babies are recovering well. If you would like to help Momma Nox, or the other kittens at the rescue. islandsferalcatproject.org/donate/

DID YOU KNOW…
Female kittens can come into heat at 4 months? The heat cycle for cats is almost continuous- on 7 days…off 7 days…on 7 days…off 7 days...on 7 days...
The cycle only stops when the cat becomes pregnant or is spayed.

If you feed them…please fix them!

Fostering kittens helps to save lives. While fostering takes time and patience--it also can relieve stress. Watching kittens play and sleep can melt away the worries of the day.

Another reason to TNVR. The mortality rate of kittens born outside is VERY. Also, kittens are euthanized in shelters everyday because there are not enough adopters. IFCP rescues kittens all the time—ours are the lucky ones...so many others don’t have “after” pictures.

Virginia's kittens are now 7 weeks old!! These four girls (Alexandria, Bristol, Vienna and Madison) will be available for adoption soon. If you are interested in adopting a pair (2 is always better than one with kittens), email us for an application.

Islands Feral Cat Project is excited to announce that we received a grant for TNVR from Alley Cat Rescue Inc. To celebrate, we broke out the sardines to trap some well-fed kitties. These cats will become members of the clipped ear club today!!!

Meet Virginia and her babies. Virginia delivered her kittens outside, just before a forecast of cold and heavy rain. IFCP made the decision to trap Virginia and bring the whole family inside.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. The spay clinic couldn't take ferals the day Zoey was trapped, so had to hold her an extra day. Zoey started meowing in the trap so we decided to evaluate her 'people skills'. We are thinking Zoey isn't very 'feral..what do you think?!?!

IFCP welcomes Trinity!!! Trinity was “trapped” during our first of the year TNVR’s when we noticed she had an upper lip mouth ulcer-caused by a severe allergic reaction to fleas. We are hopeful we can find her a flea-free inside home!! Contact [email protected] for more info.

Just when you think kitten season is over, but in Savannah, it is never over. These babies were born outside yesterday. Using the kittens as bait, IFCP trapped the momma cat. The whole family is now inside in a warm kennel!! Now is the time to spay/neuter!!!

A very special delivery happened this week! Some holiday travelers include 8 Islands Feral Cat Project kittens! These kitties traveled to PA to find their furrever homes. Transport is just one of the ways IFCP saves kitty lives in our area.
