COSAC (Cervical One Stop Assessment Clinic) offers crucial care at Clinic B, St. Finbarr's Hospital for women with abnormal cervixes or post-coital bleeding. Referrals can be made by a consultant or GP. #WomensHealth #COSAC #CUMH

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that causes respiratory infection in children and adults. You will be offered free RSV immunisation for your baby if they are born between September 2024 and February 2025. To download the RSV leaflet, visit the link in bio.

Getting the whooping cough and flu vaccines during pregnancy can help protect you and your baby. Always talk to your doctor before getting vaccinated if you might be pregnant. For more information you can download the HSE My Pregnancy resource in our bio.

Immunising or vaccinating your baby may save their life. Vaccines protect them from some serious or even fatal diseases. Information about immunisations is available from your GP, practice nurse or PHN.. See immunisation.ie for more on your child’s vaccines.

Soon after your baby is born you will be offered a Newborn Bloodspot Screening Test (or Heel Prick Test). This test helps us to find babies who may have rare but serious conditions. For more info about newborn bloodspot screening ask your midwife, or PHN or visit our website.

Your baby will get at least three health checks in the first six weeks after birth. These are covered under the Maternity and Infant Care Scheme and are free of charge. For further information on these checks and your 6 week check see the HSE My pregnancy book, link in bio.

The CUMH Neonatal team traveled to Univ Hosp Waterford on Friday to facilitate the Basic Principles of Ventilation program for nurses and doctors. It was a very interactive and collaborative experience for everyone involved.
