Today was all about STEM fun for our Reception and Year 5 children 🚀 They took an epic trip through the Universe, flying through the Solar System, experiencing the Apollo Moon landings, and even peeking at our beautiful planet from above! 🌍️

🛕Our Reception Class children had a wonderful day celebrating Diwali. We lit up our classrooms and made beautiful Rangoli patterns to bring good luck! A special thank you to our children who shared their own family traditions 🛕

📚️Our Lower Prep children have been celebrating Non Fiction November. The theme this year is 'Why don't you?' Our wonderful librarian Mrs Mee will be sharing many new books with the children during the month with the help of her special friend, Library Mouse 🐭🐭🐭

🌹Our Prep School children joined community Armistice Day reflections at Christchurch Park. Thank you Mr Harmer for sharing your veteran experiences with Lower Prep. Our Year 5 and 6 also contributed to the beautiful poppy displays around the town🌹

🧸Don't forget tomorrow we will be wearing something spotty for Children in Need and trying to fill our rather squished Pudsey Bear with our spare coins. Let's make Friday a spotty day! 🧸

🎅Ipswich Prep pupils and staff were honoured to receive a very special guest. How he found time in his very bust schedule we will never know! The excitement across the Prep was palpable as children made their way to his grotto, kindly built by his elves the night before🎅

🎤 In November we were thoroughly entertained by our children performing in 'Ipswich Preps Got Talent'. Dancers, musicians, comedians and magicians. They were all amazing! 🎤On the last day of term it was the turn of our staff to perform in front of our panel of judges.

🎁Our Charities Committee have raised over £4000 this term for our chosen charities including Cardiac Risk in the Young, Families in Need, East Anglian Childrens Hospice and Felixstowe Coastal Patrol. Our outreach work culminated with carols at the Bethesda Eventide Care Home.

🎓️ Our Year 6 students have all performed exceptionally well across the breadth of our Year 7 scholarship opportunities. Well done to them all and good luck today to those invited back for the Academic Scholarship Day 🎓️

🐇We are delighted to support East Anglia's Children Hospice 'Hop to it' Suffolk 2025 art trail! 🐇 Our sponsored walk on 13 February will raise essential funds and our medals for completing will be used as part of our hare decoration. @eachhospices

🐍 A wonderful week in Reception celebrating Chinese New Year! 🐍 Themed learning across our range of subjects enhances the learning journey and makes for engaged and happy children. 🐍 Thank you to our children for sharing their own special stories of life in other countries.

🙋 Today our Quiz Club took part in the National Quiz Club Championship Quarter Finals! We were met with some very difficult questions but were supported by our mascots! Quiz Club leader and Director of Studies Mrs Bryanton said, "Everyone had great fun! Well done quizzers! 🙋‍♂️

👴Today Ipswich Prep hosted Grandparents Breakfast. 👵 We shared a delicious breakfast after which children toured their grandparents, dropping in on classrooms to look over books and the wonderful projects completed by the children. 💙Thank you grandparents for visiting 💙
