State Public Defender Jeff Wright and Project to Preserve Families Administrator Nicole Mundy attended the signing of Iowa House File 113 into law.

State Public Defender Jeff Wright spoke at The Iowa State Bar Association's Juvenile Law Training and discussed current claim processing times and future trainings for attorneys across the state of Iowa. The training sessions will begin in Polk County on May 11, 2023.

Assistant State Public Defender Charles Isaacson led a juvenile law training hosted by the The Iowa State Bar Association. Mr. Isaacson also leads the State Public Defender's virtual mentoring calls each week for all interested attorneys and law students.

Chief State Public Defender Jeff Wright is meeting with attorneys statewide to discuss new SPD initiatives that have been specifically created to address the current state of criminal justice in Iowa. The first meeting was held on April 14, 2023 at the Scott County Courthouse.
