Excited to share our latest paper published in Nature Communications in which we characterize a novel Foxo-Dependent gene, MYTHO, as a regulator of muscle mass, autophagy and integrity. This was a fantastic collaboration with Sandri_Lab, S Hussain and more. nature.com/articles/s4146ā¦

The E4 variant of APOE is the strongest genetic risk factor for late-onset #Alzheimers. @ia_windham et al Sarah Cohen find that APOE can traffic to the surface of #LipidDroplets in astrocytes. APOE4 on LDs causes defects in LD composition & morphology hubs.la/Q02kwtks0

Very proud of our paper with Thierry Alquier lab exploring the regulation and function of neuronal lipid droplets under basal conditions. In short, neuronal lipid droplets support the function of hunger-activated neurons to maintain energy homeostasis in šŖ°&š/1

Please RT and help us get the word out. Scott Dixon @sjd956 and I are co-organizing the first FASEB #Ferroptosis conference this summer! Awesome line up of speakers and room for additional short talks! Save the date & come join us July 27 - 31, 2025! š¤©events.faseb.org/event/11797f9eā¦

Thrilled to preprint my postdoc work in the Maria Ioannou ! š Using live-cell and two-photon imaging, we reveal that Parkinsonās-linked glucosylceramide changes drive the formation and shedding of ectosomes, fueling α-synuclein spread. This pathway has broad implication in PD.
