Took the summer off from serious writing and now it's a slog trying to get back in.

Listened to Broadway is My Beat on Serious XM on the way to work this morning. That's some seriously lyrical noir detective stuff. The prose is poetic and the visuals popping.

Watching Graham Hancock in season 2 of Ancient Apocalypse on Netflix and 9 minutes in to episode one I see the bombshell that the national parks service has uncovered human footprints in White Sand that date to 23000 years ago (about 10k earlier than mainstream science allows)

New brewery in town. On A Plain in Lyman Maine. Excellent beers all around. Inventive with local ingredients and brewed with love.

Standing here crying like a baby because Rocky Top came on the radio and just as clear as day I pictured my mom singing and dancing around the kitchen. Music is a powerful trigger. Brings me back to my childhood.
