TB meningitis is a devastating manifestation of MTb infection, with an unacceptably high rate of morbidity and mortality. Influenced by the success of the RECOVERY trial, researchers asked if lessons could be learnt for TBM trials. Read more: tinyurl.com/53cc8frk

In August 2023, inclusions in the INTENSE-TBM trial have reached 50%, thanks to the great work performed by the clinical research units of 4 African countries (Madagascar, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Uganda) who coordinate the activities of a total of 13 referral hospitals.
