Drove into Brum last night for Birmingham Design Festival's Gather. Digbeth's changed but the creativity hasnβt; zoom in for wild reflections in that chrome! Brum has a special place in our souls; I lived, studied and taught there, and we gigged and ran tower-block pirates there for yearsπ»
Went to watch Ockham's Razor performing Tess (of the DβUrbervilles) last night. I secretly cried at the overwhelming physicality of it; my own body, strong and flexible as it is, couldnβt hope to achieve those beautiful shapes. They truly told the story with their bodies.
1/ Wild to watch the CEO and counsel at a top tech industry group Chamber of Progress claim:
1. Artists have a βmonopolyβ on their own work
2. Pretend campaigns like the Human Artistry Campaign who represents artists unions and artists groups like Sag Aftra, Iatse, CAA are bad for us?!π
