Mostly nonsense, sometimes about security and/or policy. Often innuendo.

I wasn't planning to be at CYBERUK but I'm popping to Birmingham tonight to be on a panel about the #PSTI Act. If you're in town, come along! eventbrite.co.uk/e/cyberverse-s… #iot #cybersecurity

Despite this fantastic little video being super clear, I guess we’ll need a TV drama to be made before the general public reaches a level of awareness and outrage that forces the government to actually appear to take this seriously…

The movie claims that "geolocation" information from phones was used to find "mules", people visiting both Democrat-affiliated organizations as well as multiple dropbox visits. The only problem is that it never actually showed the data. The movie contains CLAIMS but no actual

I’m attending Chatham House’s Cyber 2024 event (#CHcyber). Loved hearing Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Julie Johnson give a shout out to Bob Lord for his work on Secure-by-Design. She flagged his interest in achieving Secure-by-Demand, which we share, though I know it evokes cynicism for many.

Me and my wonderful Privacy and Security colleagues are at #wwdc24 today - come chat to us after the State of the Union if you’re here in person! Ask us anything about securing your apps, building private experiences for your users, and passkeys! 🔐

Dr Jean Innes of the The Alan Turing Institute speaking at #CHLondon says they’ve observed #AI used to try to influence 19 different elections around the world this year, with no clear indication of expected outcomes changing. BUT… 1/2

Infosecjen (@infosecjen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

2/2 She also notes that over time, this activity is eroding confidence in election processes, and that could become catastrophic over time. Poor paraphrasing from me - sorry! #CHLondon

This man is clearly suspicious. But yeah, you should totes check out the Aersopace Village at #DEFCON if for no other reason than that #cyberpilot22 was prepared to get tackled by cops to make this video...

I'm know a lot of folks that regularly listen to podcasts do so at an increased speed, but when I listen back to my own pod (Distilling Cyber Policy), I worry that people might need to slow it down to understand me 🫤 Though that won't necessarily make me more coherent.

I feel like I should possibly clarify that I listen to it for editing, not so I can sit around eating grapes and admiring my own awkwardness.

This was a very fun conversation and I felt like I learned a lot - which is how I usually feel speaking to Jason Kikta hates what this place has become Cristin Flynn Goodwin. What do you mean you’re sick of hearing about #AI #security?!

I’m pretty sure this same thing is true of many widely quoted stats in a huge variety of fields. I constantly wonder about similar #cyber stats, like the claim that “cybercrime costs the global economy $7tn per year.” Show me the evidence/workings! theguardian.com/environment/20…
