Education systems must prepare children for tomorrow's workplace, not yesterday's. Quality education empowers individuals to meet the demands of an ever changing labor market. #FundEducation #WEF25

When we label a child ‘bad’, we create or reinforce their belief that they are not good enough. So, they conclude they are misfits, learn to wear the label we have given them, and become what we have turned them into! Which means it’s time to rethink OUR attitudes and behaviour!

This is a huge issue that needs addressing and actually affects so many young people going through school - there just isn't any pathway through to employment :( There is nowhere to aim for..no aspiration..no support!

Disabled adults aren’t there because disabled children are invisible, othered & discriminated against legitimately within the education system-until we have #InclusiveEducation which is a #HumanRight #UNCRDP -disabled adults will continue to be locked out of ordinary life!

If you aren’t included or imagined in your local school alongside non-disabled children - you are invisible to our future generations of decision makers.. who will not naturally think about you in adult life!.. and so discrimination, ableism and othering continues…

There is a saying that what is done in the dark will come to light. So much wrongdoing will one day be exposed. One day. #Stolenlives

Here’s a thread 🧵 about PIP and the media’s narrative that has fooled people, for a number of reasons. They haven’t explained that there are 2 components, Daily Living & Mobility with a further 2 components in each, Standard & Enhanced. gov.uk/pip

Today’s results show that Labour needs to deliver the actual change people voted for - offering real hope by reversing ever-widening inequality. Dropping plans to cut disability benefits and properly taxing the very richest in society would be a good place to start.
