A crowd control barrier is no problem at all for the urban Smooth-coated otter family when it comes with a ready made front door.

During a long weekend in Langkawi I was hunting for Tokay Geckos at night. They were quite shy but on the last night I found this beauty on a wall outside a restaurant. Not the photos I was looking for but great to photograph one. I love the skin texture on the second photo.

My first Black giant squirrel. I found it in a tree with langurs and was not prepared to see a squirrel that was larger than some of the mid size monkeys. Stunning animal and full of personality.

I kept a good distance back so as not to disturb the Dusky Langurs in a suburban environment that I was photographing. Then this happened…

Dusky Langur - I met a few shy family groups in the forest. The closer the troop’s territory was to human habitations the more relaxed they became. At times one would appear beside me just sit down, oblivious or just disinterested in my presence. Beautiful, calm, and gentle.

My first time encountering Dusky Langurs. This troop coexist around the human activity of a forest resort. They are incredibly peaceful, gentle and relaxed. They feed mainly on tender green leaves. The babies are born with orange fur making them impossibly cute

As I drove out of the Gunung Raya forest I stopped at the last large tree before the exit because I spotted a small troop of Dusky Langurs. As I looked into the foliage my eyes nearly burst at the sight of a pair of huge Great Hornbills. Absolutely magnificent birds!
