One of the most important things I've realized over the last decade of failures and triumphs as a filmmaker is that I only can go as far as my team. Choose your team wisely and nurture those relationships.

Even if you hate the film, the cinematography of the film is gorgeous enough to keep you in it.

One of the toughest lessons to learn in Film (that I guess can be said about other fields?) is that you have to invest in yourself first if you want people to invest in you. Sometimes that means investing your own money into projects that need it in order to be good.

Growth doesn't occur without adversity and pain. Take breaks, show yourself grace, but don't turn away. Get up and go again.
