I miss the days of event operators dismissing refs midgame for thinking its about them. 2 of the best teams in the country going at it, standing room only, 100 coaches watching and Mr Sensitivity kicks a coach out for protesting a bad call. Made the police come get her‼️

Watching these kids, families and coaches running for their lives today. Sending prayers to everyone in Kentucky. I’ve already had to help doctor up another coach. Scary moment for everyone there today.

Run of the Roses Event director or staff tweeting about RESUMING play tomorrow is insensitive and irresponsible. Some of these kids may have never heard a gun shot ever in their life let alone be part of an active shooter! To think they’re just gonna wake up n hoop tomorrow! 🤡

So incredibly thankful that me, my staff, current players, fellow coaches, and future Racers are all safe following the safety concern at Run for the Roses. Situations like this remind us how precious life is. Thank God for His protection over everyone involved.

We have made the decision to withdraw from TFN's Run 4 Roses championship. Our athletes physical and mental health is far more important than a basketball tournament. We will regroup and be ready to compete at TOC in Chicago. Thanks to all the coaches who supported & watched us

Due to today’s events, our team is officially exiting the TFN's Run 4 Roses Championship Tournament. The safety and mental well-being of our players, families, and staff is my top priority as the coach. What occurred today was tragic and deeply unsettling. Watching public safety

Sorry to all our recruits, but I won’t be at the rest of Run4Roses. I will not partake in making this feel “acceptable” No one, especially our youth, should have to experience that & “just be okay” & play. Not after seeing tears & terror on so many faces. Be well & see yall soon!

Our Maryville Women's Basketball staff will not be attending the remainder of the Run 4 Roses Championship. What happened today was not normal, and should not be normalized. A very sad day for our basketball family.

I am glad all the families, student athletes, and coaches are safe in Kentucky. With that being said, there shouldn’t be any games played tomorrow. Basketball can hold out for a day, but the mental well being of others is more important at this time. Be well everyone ❤️

Players, if your AAU coaches pressure you to play tomorrow or "you wont get looks" know if was NEVER about you in the first place. Parents it's OKAY to go home. Parents its OKAY to run your house. Parents she wont miss an opportunity if you went home. We UNDERSTAND!
