Khairabadi Masterclass: A Guide to Navigating the 'Mawāqif'

The ‘Mawāqif’ of Qādī Al-Ījī embodies what scholars have termed the ‘Avicennisation of kalām’, representing a fusion of Islamic theology with elements of Avicennian philosophy. However, delving deeper, it also…

—The name “Muhammad” means “The one who is praised abundantly”. So, there is no disbeliever who mentions him except that he praises him thereby, even if they may not intend it.

Salutations and peace upon the greatest creation of God in absolute terms

The thing is that if you were spanked, it's probably *way* down the list of bad childhood experiences.

All suffering is in the mind, and there is nothing especially bad about physical correction.

If you gave kids a choice between homework and receiving an strike, you would be surprised how many boys just took the hit.

You would also be surprised at how severe a strike they would take rather than doing the homework.

Muslims often begin these discussions on the backfoot as a result of having implicitly absorbed post-Enlightenment ideas relating to equality.

As Muslims, we do not agree with the notion that legal and social differences based upon class or sex are inherently evil.

They adopt…

Whilst the constant recycling of the same topics on here can be tiring and repetitive, it does have the benefit of allowing you to see new arguments for and against your position that you may not have considered previously, especially the latter which may allow you to rethink…

'The Islamic Secular' is indeed an oxymoron, and the fact that the author tries to anticipate this objection in his book does not make it any less egregious an error.
Or to put it more colloquially:
Really? That is what you come up with to address the extraordinary challenges…

I was previously unaware that Alahazrat had authored such a lengthy poem in praise of Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq, may Allah be pleased with him.

It certainly demolishes the whole accusation of him being a Shi'ī, as no Shi'ī would even think of writing such extensive praise of the…

They want the positives of liberalism (freedom, stronger economies, functional governments) without the negatives (decadence, hedonism, decline).

I would bet that 95%+ of non-Muslim Americans and Britons have premarital sex/cohabit before marriage. There is no real conservatism…
