Paternity leave should not be seen as the magic bullet that will enhance gender equality by freeing up more time for men. The social norms also have to be addressed. Who is doing the care work? How is it shared, complemented by campaigns. #rhu #MenCareLive #MensDay

The main challenge I have with NDP III is that it is focused mainly on an economics model that regards other key enablers such as health, education and other services as enablers to economic growth. The emphasis here is wrong, and should focus more on equity #UGDevtStrategy

The goal of the NDP III is poverty reduction and improved quality of life, yet poverty reduction is a subset of improved quality of life. Once the goal is skewed, so will be the emphasis and this will stifle overall transformation; so we will leave many behind #UGDevtStrategy

The overall goal of the NDP should be on improved quality of life, then poverty reduction, improved social services, e.g. , harnessing technology in health, education, improved M&E, accountability, would be the structural strategies to realise this primary goal #UGDevtStrategy

I think we also need more strategies to help reduce the number of informal businesses in Uganda which do not add to the national coffers, and increased formal registration through policy enactment. Let us reduce high cost of government such as administration #UGDevtStrategy

I see there are a lot of ideas about what could be done, but how do we prioritise the key levers to development and in what sequence? Do we also have the political appetite to make the hard decisions, especially as we move towards 2021? #UGDevtStrategy

The table below is an important summary of the leadership styles. but I don't think it is exhaustive. It mainly looks at the more negative and extreme styles. Is it possible for one to have a mix of the styles, and how are such hybrids described?

Sometimes a person is branded, religious, cultural, political, community opposition. Yet, one may variously present as a cultural, religious or community member. What needs to change is to appreciate opposition diversity, and to devise viable strategies RightHereRightNw🇺🇬 @Rutgers_INTL

Kenya says, 'the opposition is coordinated', 'we are divided', 'our messages are not consistent ','we are scrambling for small change' 'we cannot fight from a point of ignorance'. All this must change

Peter Ibembe (@ibembepeter) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Kenya says,' the opposition is well resouced'. How can we be better resourced? There has been an attack on terminology, to clamp down on 'Rights' and the definition of the 'family' How can we recapture the narrative? #L&L22 @Rutgers_INTL

#ReshapingDevelopment Debt and development in Uganda are linked to corruption which is structural, political and not abating. What should we do to escape this and take to the fast trajectory to development?

A fundamental trait that can significantly enhance your employability is having a genuine thirst for knowledge & personal development. How you respond when faced with novel & demanding situations & assignments will ultimately determine the doors that swing open before you.
