.@cnn .@msnbc .NBC Entertainment .@cbs .@abc .Rachel Maddow MSNBC Here is the story you need to run! Trump just childishly tightened a black female journalist's water due to her hard questions! Please don't let this not be covered!

Since this has people talking about Hamlet (❤️), I'll share another of my favorite student interactions regarding this play that seems to bring up all our ghosts: A student said he wanted to "go back in time and take Shakespeare's quill so he couldn't write anything. He doesn't

Really looking forward to these talks. 1st one is live at 4.30 UK time this afternoon but then available to subscribers until late November. I’ll mainly be showing how - and how much - Mozart’s music for Figaro helps to tell the story

Hugely looking forward to this evening’s Jommelli concert Wigmore Hall Lots of extraordinarily beautiful, dramatic & unusual music. Come along if you can!

The struggles of the classical music sector have been well documented in recent months, and we - like most arts organisations - rely on the generosity of both individuals and foundations to enable our work on the stage, in the studio, and in our local community.

One of the highlights of '1775 - A Retrospective' is a momentous scene from Benda's melodrama 'Medea', introduced here by soprano Alexandra Lowe and conductor Ian Page Be sure to catch it next Wednesday 29 January at Cadogan Hall! Tickets: cadoganhall.com/whats-on/the-m…

It’s TONIGHT, Cadogan Hall ! Really looking forward to this concert. Most of the music was new to most of the players, & during rehearsals it’s been wonderful to see how blown away they’ve been, especially with Haydn symphony No 67 & Benda’s Medea.

I’d always thought that my clear winner for Best Ever Opera Title was “The Blind Beggar of Bethnal Green”, but I’ve just discovered that in 1787 Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf (no less) wrote an opera called “Hieronymus Knicker” and I’m irredeemably confused.

On my way home after final day of rehearsals for this wonderful opera, which we’re performing Cadogan Hall tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. Our wonderful young cast is sounding fantastic & of course the orchestral playing is very special. Please come along if you can!

Very sad to learn of the death of Roger Norrington. He was a force of nature, a great pioneer and a great musician. “People are always giving answers in performances, but have they asked the questions?… I don’t accept authority unless I’ve found the evidence.” RIP
