It wasn’t that long ago that TV Studio cameras required operators!! These type of studios are now completely robotic, and controlled by someone in the gallery 200 miles away.

Tomorrow’s filming and editing job has just been cancelled (because the correspondent is needed elsewhere) with less than 12hrs notice. But they are such a great channel, they are still paying me for the day.

10 years ago when we had actual Satellite Trucks to get the finished edit back to the studio in London. Now you can just tether the laptop to your 5G iPhone

So the fake’Video Editing Gurus’ with next to no experience or authority, who charge good money for courses with unrealistic promises, don’t like when actual editors with 4 decades experience correct their tweets!!

Still funny that I put the seatbelt around it!

What some motion graphics-led creators call editing now. Not what their work was called 10 years ago. Given the specific nature of the practice, why call it ‘editing’? How about ‘Emotioning’? Unless it is all about how much money you can make.

Tell me you don’t know what editing is without telling me.
