Black Jewish Alliance organises in the traditions of anti-racism and anti-imperialism and we will meet racism and divisive tactics with multiraical solidarity.

This, alongside Islamaphobia and anti-Palestinian racism, is their campaign model. Just this morning, Gideon Falter chose to spread the denilalist, anti-Black and racist myth that Black people are not racially targeted by police.

Campaign Against Anti-Semitism have a long history of racist provocation, where they attend Palestine solidarity events to film confrontations and generate outrage on social media and in national news cycles.

Their transparent manoeuvre is the latest attempt to provoke a confrontation, and provide justification for banning the marches and silencing solidarity with Palestine.

It is unsurprising that CCA, an organisation with a track record of racist, Islamophobic and anti-Palestinian rhetoric, is attempting to exploit this incident to stoke tension and division between Jews and other folks concerned about the slaughter in Gaza.

Falter is now cynically using this incident to smear and undermine solidarity with Palestine. The Campaign Against Antisemitism have called a demonstration to counter the Palestine solidarity march scheduled for 27 April.

Racial stereotyping of this kind is a hallmark of British policing, and we stand against police racism in all its forms.

Second, the officer's response assumes a crowd that reflects the racial diversity of London, and stands in solidarity with Palestine, will respond aggressively simply because an individual is Jewish: a smear underpinned by Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism.

This is unquestionable racism: first, it shows the Met police connect being Jewish to supporting Israel's murderous actions in Gaza.
