Turning Garbage into Money. In partnership with Korea Hope Foundation, IST is equipping women & youth vendors in Kasubi & Kalerwe Markets to adopt eco-friendly waste practices & modern waste-to-energy solutions—so what used to be garbage can now generate income to women & youth.

In collaboration with African Power Initiative & the Rubaga Division Waste Management Officer Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), IST trained 100 women & youth from Kasubi Market on every step of smart waste handling—from generation and segregation, to collection, transport, treatment, and final disposal.
