7/ & wish to collaborate to further these common goals and objectives within their respective mandates and governing rules and regulations;

8/Both organisations hv proposed 2sign & exchange Letters of Intent for exploring the opportunity & Developing a Joint cooperation mechanism

9/ The event was organized at Rail Bhavan wherein Mr. Erik Solheim, Executive Director UNEP submitted a Letter of Intent to Suresh Prabhu

10/ Rly has set up an exclusive Environment and Housekeeping Mgt Directorate in Rly Board during15,to give special impetus 2 Environment

11/Focus 4 joint activities would be 2 Collaborate in Formulating Specific Roadmap 4 achieving 20 % reduction in Water consumption in Rlys

12/ Collaborate in the development of a Draft action plan for establishing waste management centres at major stations on Indian Railways.

13/ & to Collaborate in the development of a Draft action plan for Indian Railways on sustainable public procurement for green technology.
