The Officer of the year award for 2018 was presented to the below officers at the Indian River Shores Town Council meeting. PSO Crouch and PSO Maikranz were unable to attend. The award was in recognition for outstanding performance in locating a missing Alzheimer's patient.

Public Safety WILL REMAIN on the barrier island. We are the only public safety agency who will remain on the island. You will not be alone. Chief Rich Rosell and 15 officers shall remain on road patrol for as long as the storm permits.
