Each country must have a plan to translate the #SDGs into realistic objectives. #Parliaments must check that all budgets and laws abide by these plans. IPUparliament data shows most parliaments are not engaged in national reviews. This must change! ➡️ipu.org/HLPF24

Speaking to ministers at #HLPF24, on behalf of IPUparliament I outlined the need to invest more in #SDG16, the governance goal. Today's grim outlook for the #SDGs has mostly to do with lack of will. The world has plenty of resources to lift people out of poverty. No more excuses
