At Aswan Forum, discussions on border management highlighted that sustainable solutions in Africa hinge on: 1️⃣ Interoperable, secure data systems 2️⃣ Strong cross-border cooperation & capacity building 3️⃣ Whole-of-government & community approaches for human-centred borders.

Civilian infrastructure is off-limits. Homes, schools, hospitals, water systems, places of worship are not battlefields. International Humanitarian Law prohibits attacks on civilian infrastructure.
