Lucas Samuel @ExolithLab RickNotRockets 🌻 Ben Magelsen 🇺🇸 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐲 𝐉𝐫. Bertrand Thibodeau Wow! The neat thing about this concrete recipe is we can make *all* the parts from ordinary rocks: the silica is left over after HCl leaching, the red mud is precipitated from the HCl leach, and there's only a tiny amount (1%) NaOH.

In this month's Alaska Trends magazine, there's a really good article about how Alaska's net migration losses are actually even worse than they appear because the state's working-age population is who's moving away: labor.alaska.gov/trends/mar23.p… #akleg

Ogives are bands of ice that alternate in both height and color and can be seen on a glacier’s surface. They are often shaped into arcs that point towards the bottom of the glacier. nsidc.org/learn/cryosphe… Photo credit: Allen Pope

Fraser Cain Universe Today @storybywill Some good ideas there, but they assume many unsupported ideas, like the requirement for pressure gradients. The existence of underwater ecosystems implies life does not require 1 g gravity. Clouds mean the surface of Mars receives more solar photons on average than Earth. Odd!

NWS is at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Annual Convention this week in Fairbanks. We have met many people from communities across the Interior. This is a great event for us to hear about the current ice conditions and also share information about the upcoming spring breakup. #akwx
