Absolutely massive signing. Dayne St Clair easily a top 3 goalie in the league and still very much on the right side of 30, with his best yet to come.

Do believe that we see Miami use an offseason buyout on Ustari after this as well. He’s on a very rich contract and is clearly nothing more than a backup, with St Clair the clear starter.

Reminder he got banished to South America while with CF Montreal for playing pickup under a fake name and getting into a fight while doing that. Now imagine him picking that fight in Little Haiti under I-95.

Scoreline currently sucks, but holy shit this is an insane experience. NHL really did well on getting a bunch of the details right, and even the pre-game activities were amazing.

The thing with Busi - we theoretically shouldn’t sign anyone to “replace” him. Instead, just make Bright an everyday starter in his place in front of the back 4 as a destroyer. You already have other midfielders who can distribute, and two outside backs that’ll play high.

Well then, fuck my last post. Ayala should be the Busi replacement. Ayala is only 23, made 38 appearances last year for Portland. For a defensive midfielder, he plays a very clean game - he’s never been sent off in his professional career and sees less than 4 cautions a year.

One caveat to this: One of Miami’s 4 U-22s have to go. Pick your poison - Ayala, Toto, Silvetti, Segovia. If I had to bet, Segovia is the odd man out solely due to interest being highest in him for a loan/purchase abroad.

I should note to address the replies: I agree Toto should be the odd man out, I just don’t know who or where he would go. At least Segovia has had interest.

Hopefully (and typically) moving from a larger to smaller number for former academy members means they are expected to participate in more first team minutes.
