#OTD Nov. 7, 1876: Members of a counterfeiting ring used these tools (housed at the Lincoln Presidential Library) in an attempt to steal Abraham Lincoln’s body. Lincoln’s sarcophagus was opened & the coffin partially moved before the Secret Service rushed in, preventing the grave robbery.
