I had the opportunity to join H.E. Mohamed Ware Mohamed Abdi Ware Commander Commander Abebe Muluneh , and the @IGADPSD team at the Annual Review Meeting. It’s inspiring to witness the critical work being done for regional #peace and #security. Looking forward to exploring areas of collaboration


United Nations Operations and Crisis Centre (UNOCC) Deputy Director Elizabeth Chester met #CEWARN Director Camlus Omogo and team for a rich exchange on conflict early warning operations. They also explored collaboration on tech-based early warning data collection and analysis tools.


The Centre has been part of the IGAD Peace and Security Division Annual Review Meeting held in Bishoftu, #Ethiopia from 7-9 May 2025. The meeting discussions focused on detailed analysis of the regional situation, review of the IGAD Peace and Security programs and reflections on the next steps to take



The office delegation, led by Nejat, attended the IGAD Peace and Security Division annual review meeting from May 7-9. We shared insights on #security #threats of the region, strategic visions, & interventions. This event was crucial for review, coordination, & planning to achieve better results.

CEWARN Director Camlus Omogo in his closing remarks at the 3-day climate-conflict early warning tools validation workshop stated,the tools are part of a vision for evidence-based conflict prevention that responds to the growing security threats posed by climate risks in #IGAD region.

The Centre took part in the Inter-Regional Knowledge Exchange on Early Warning and Conflict Prevention (I-RECKE) session held in Djibouti, 27–28 May 2025, to validate the draft Joint Resource Mobilization Strategy. The session brought together African Union and RECs/RMs experts


#CEWARN director Camlus Omogo delivered remarks as co-host of the 29th Tech'l Meeting on #EarlyWarning with the African Union's Continental Early Warning System in #Nairobi. The meeting among the African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security , RECs, and RMs aims to harmonize conflict prevention efforts in Africa.
