.The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) national and KwaZulu-Natal branch teams, with the support of IFRC Africa Pretoria Cluster, are verifying approximately 750 households severely affected by the June thunderstorms in Tongaat for Cash and Voucher assistance.
Since the declaration of the #Mpox epidemic, @IFRC and Cameroon Red Cross have participated in high-level meetings and awareness-raising activities in communities to make sure everyone is made aware of the virus and how to avoid it.
As a result of the torrential rains, the rivers are flooded, causing flooding in the Far North. Cameroon Red Cross volunteers are currently on the field providing assistance and registering affected people. More than 168,000 people are in genuine need of assistance. #Cameroon

South Sudan is battling severe flooding in over 26 counties. On September 1, the South Sudan Red Cross mobilized volunteers and staff in Old Fangak to help communities rehabilitate dykes as floodwaters reached record levels.
