When Florence Aber joined Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University in 2004 as a nurse, the patients were numerous—the majority very sick & bedridden. We honour Florence for transforming our clinic into a place where individuals, each with a unique story, seek care, understanding, & a renewed sense of life.
