Welcome to the ICOS station Gebesee in Germany! Gebesee is one of the longest-running eddy covariance cropland sites in the ICOS network, collecting data for 22 years.

Recently there have been alarming signs of the Gebesee site losing carbon (based on eddy covariance and harvest data) despite frequent organic fertilization. More on that can be read in FLUXES vol 2: bit.ly/3NYPDdZ

In the summer, trees are able to compensate the emissions so the site becomes a carbon sink during the daytime. For the rest of the time, however, this is the opposite. (4/5)
