April 28 marks National Day of Mourning, dedicated to the many workers who have been killed, injured, or suffered illness on the job. We honour our fallen kin by remembering those who have sustained injury, and committing to protecting all workers from future workplace tragedies.

Members are invited to join the Worker’s Memorial Day/ National Day of Mourning Moment of Silence webinar on Friday, April 26 in honor of those who have died or been injured on the job. The online event will occur from 10:00 am – 10:15 am PST. You can register at the QR link.

The vote on the proposed Constitutional Amendment to make the Business Representative position a hired role concluded on Monday. The Amendment did not receive the required votes to pass – as a result, the BR role will remain an elected one. Thank you to all members who voted.
