In memoriam: Captain James W Allen. March 2. 2018. James was a 28 year member of the Hanover Fire Department. Jim was one of two hired in 1972, to be the first career firefighters in Hanover. Jim was a well respected firefighter and it was an honor to work with him.

Members of Local 2726 came together tonight for a steak dinner as a send off for Captain Marty Alfis, prior to his shoulder surgery. We are wishing you all the best Captain! Here’s to a smooth surgery and a quick recovery!!

4 years ago today, in Lynn, Governor Maura Healey Charlie Baker signed the “Tony Colarusso” bill into law. Prior to this bill signing, firefighters diagnosed with an occupational cancer were forced to use their own sick time and could run out of time during their cancer fight. 1/2
