Update - Wascana St. Fire is extinguished and under investigation. Searches complete and no injuries reported. Fire, smoke and water damage resulted in occupants from 22 suites, in multiple buildings, being displaced with many assisted by Mobile Crisis. #yqr

Shortly after 3am, crews were called to a fire in a multi-family occupancy on the 1100 Blk. of Wascana St. Regina Police has several intersections blocked in the area. Please stay clear while crews work to control the fire. Updates to follow. #yqr

This morning 4 of our members attended the funeral service following the Line of Duty Death of Winnipeg Firefighter, Preston Heinbigner.

Also today, this afternoon the Honour Guard participated in the commencement ceremonies for Regina’s newest Firefighters. Congrats to all and we’ll see you in the halls.

Shortly after 7pm, crews responded to a house fire on the 900 Blk. of Garnet St. Heavy smoke and fire condition on the main floor on arrival. Fire extending out the roof of the structure. Crews still working to extinguish the fire. Fire will be under investigation. #yqr

Local 181 Honour Guard members are en route to Winnipeg today for the Celebration of Life of a fallen firefighter. The Honour Guard would like to acknowledge and thank Deputy Chief Hewitt for his support. Safe travels, gentlemen.

Our new recruits will graduate from their 5 week orientation tomorrow and will be assigned to their platoons. They have been working hard in training to prepare for the next stage in their new careers. #YQR
