Here’s Nigel Farage saying Cardiff will no longer be a ‘City of Sanctuary’ if Reform win in May. We can assume that this will also apply to other local councils too.

The Conservative Party base is in complete meltdown, so they’ve decided to talk up a student loan scheme they introduced to try to win over a demographic that doesn’t support them. What sort of strategy is this?

New polling from More in Common suggest that just a third of Welsh voters think devolution has been a good thing for Wales. Immigration tops as the most important issue ahead of Senedd election in May.

Considering #GortonAndDenton go to the polls tomorrow. Here’s a newsreel from the tightly fought Manchester Gorton by-election in 1967. Winston Churchill’s grandson called, Winston Churchill, was the Conservative candidate. He lost by 557 votes to Labour’s Kenneth Marks.

Some good news for Darren Millar this morning. In terms of vote share, Gorton and Denton pips Caerphilly as the worst performance for the Conservatives at a by-election.

If the Welsh media don’t ask Rhun and others in Plaid Cymru what they mean by “there is no such thing as illegal immigration”, then frankly their innate bias will be there for all to see. Immigration is a top issue going into this Senedd election, and questions need asking!

Incredible viewing figure for Plaid Cymru’s conference. Really competing with the mass rallies who gathered for the Welsh Conservatives in Llandudno.

Plaid Cymru are holding their conference in the same venue Reform hosted a press event a few weeks back. Compare and contrast!

One of the few good things Harold Wilson did as Prime Minister was keeping Britain out of the Vietnam War. This was despite incredible pressure from the Americans.

I seem to be doing ‘The Rest is History’ today. But here is the last Shah of Iran overcome with tears as he leaves the country for the last time due to the Revolution in 1979. Crying as about 2500 years of the rule of the Shahs, since Cyrus the Great, came to an end.

We’re still waiting for literally anyone in the Welsh media to ask Rhun why he thinks “there is no such thing as illegal immigration.”

Huge implications for Senedd and local government elections in Wales with Reform UK’s proposal. Would a Reform UK government overrule the Senedd and ensure parity for all elections in Britain?
